the bargain

a certain person took a partner who had a fault. at first the person felt good about overlooking the fault. over time the person began to resent the fault. to make up for the pain that the partner created, the person asked the partner for more and more favors in areas unaffected by the fault. guilty of the fault, the partner tried to do everything the person asked, to make up for the guilt. this left the partner with very little time to put towards fixing the fault.
